The slums of Hyderabad and the remote villages of Mahboob Nagar are no different in terms of getting the medical aid. In the village they do not have sufficient and easily accessible hospitals or if the hospitals are existing there is no sufficient medical staff or medicines to provide the treatment. The situation is slums of Hyderabad is the Hospitals are present but the medications required or the overall travelling and in case of any admissions the expenses incurred by the patient and the escort is far too high than what they earn in a months time or the time involved in getting to the doctor and get him the treatment is too long.
To provide a solution to this problem NHF is getting in association with various NGO's and sponsors to support this program on a continuous and ongoing basis, to improve the health conditions in slums and remote villages. |
